My finished You're tearriffic card.

You’re tearriffic card | My besties shop

This you’re tearriffic card has been waiting to be posted for a while now. But unfortunately, due to family circumstances, it hasn’t made it. Still, I want to share this one with you. Originally, this card was made for the Penny’s Paper-Crafty challenge blog. Unfortunately, it didn’t manage to be finished at the time. I finished the card anyway, which is why I am posting it now. So, I hope you like it.

I made this card using the digital stamp My Besties Land Of The Fablers ~ Fabler Yumpy Image from My Besties shop.

Let’s get into it.

Measurements from this You’re tearriffic card.

  • I made the base card for this card purple. The base card is 13 centimetres by 13 centimetres. You need a piece of purple card stock measuring 26 centimetres by 13 centimetres. Score at the 26 centimetres side.
  • A piece of white card stock to make you square frame from. The outside of the frame measures 12,5 centimeters by 12,5 centimeters. The inside of the square is 11,5 centimeters by 11,5 centimeters.
  • A piece of white card stock measuring 12.5 centimetres by 12.5 centimetres. This piece you will make your background on.
  • Print your digital stamp on DCP paper.

Digital stamp and colouring

I printed the digital stamp on DCP paper and coloured it with my Twinmarkers (Alcohol markers). Down below you find the colour combinations I used:

  • Top of the mushroom: Blue Grey purple (158), Grey violet (80), Mauve shadow (146), Pearl White (109).
  • Wings: Mint Macaron (180) and Cool Shadow (178).
  • Bottom of mushroom: Caramel (253), Hazelwood (108), Tawny (106) and Pearl White (109).
  • Body: Forest Green (50), Grass Green (47), Weeds Green (162) and Yellow Green (48).
  • Flowers: Amber (266), Dark Yellow (31), Lemon Yellow (35) and Pastel Yellow (39).
  • Skin: Peachy Blush (259), Salmon Pink (25), Barely Beige (29) and Blush (136).
  • Lady Bug: Cardinal (244) and Black (120).
Close up picture from the colored digital stamp I used for the You're tearriffic card.I used the colores green, purple and yellow for this.

Now, we have coloured our Digital stamp, we can make our background. Let’s bring the scene to life.

The Background

For the background, use the white card stock measuring 12.5 centimetres by 12.5 centimetres. I inked my whole panel. I used my chalk inks for this. I wanted the purple on top and the pink at the bottom. Unfortunately, I didn’t write down which colours I used. But you can use any inks and colours you like.

Assembling the card

First, I glued the background to the purple card base. I fussy cut the image out and stuck it on my background. Now I can put my frame on top of that. I decide to place the sentiment on top of the card and the card is finished.
