Today on the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog, another new challenge has been launched. The design team members have created spring animals cards for inspiration. Hopefully, we will see you at the challenge too. I used the cute digital image Its Spring. I combined the image with the Pretty Spring Papers.
Let’s get into it.
Measurements of the Spring animals card
- The base of the card is 15 centimetres by 10,5. You need a piece of white card stock measuring 15 centimetres by 21 centimetres. Score at 10,5 centimetres at the 21 centimetres side.
- Piece of blue card stock 10 centimetres by 14,5 centimetres.
- Piece of pattern paper measuring 9,5 centimetres by 14 centimetres.
- DCP paper to print your image on.
Digital stamp and colouring
I printed the digital stamp on DCP paper and coloured it with my alcohol markers.
- Fox and flowerpots: Clay (116), Barn Red (245), Rose Beige (97) and Carrot Orange (269).
- Inside of the Fox ears: Pearl White (109), Blush (136) and Pastel Pink (17).
- Inside of the flowers: Pastel Lemon (39), Deep Yellow (32) and Dark Yellow (31).
- Letters and butterfly: Dark Sky (191), Midi Sky (190), Sky Blue (76) and Sweet Dreams (272).
- Grass: Forest Green (50), Grass Green (47) and Yellow Green (48).
- Flowers: Fluor Coral Red (121), Pale Pink (09), Rose Pink (08) and Pastel Pink (17).
- Grass: Forest Green (50), Vived Green (46), Grass Green (47) and Yellow Green (48).
- Flowers: Fluor Coral Red (121), Pale Pink (09), Rose Pink (08) and Pastel Pink (17).
Digital paper Pretty Spring papers
Polkadoodles also sells digital paper. I took advantage of that this time. The paper-easter set two includes this cute cloud paper. Perfect to use with this picture. I printed this paper on DCP paper, then cut it to the right size.
Assembling the card
First, I stick my blue card stock on the card base. On the blue card stock, I stick the pattern paper with the clouds. I fussy cut the image and place that on top of that.
I place some flowers on the grass and the card is finished.
