Cute Easter card with a gnome and chicks.

Easter card Polkadoodles

Hello everyone!

Did you know that Polkadoodles also have pre-coloured digital stamps? I made a quick Easter card with it.

Another new challenge started today and we as a design team were tasked with creating something with the Easter theme. For this challenge, I went to work with the digital stamp Happy Easter-colour gnome. I combined this with a digital paper from the set of Pretty Spring Papers and a sentiment from the set of Easter greetings, quotes and sentiments.

Let’s get into it.

Measurements from this Easter card

  • The card base of this card measures 10,5 centimetres by 15 centimetres.
  • Digital paper measuring 10 centimetres by 14,5 centimetres.
  • Piece of white card stock measuring 9,5 centimetres by 14 centimetres.
  • DCP paper to print your image on.

Making the white panel with the sentiment

First, I printed the sentiment on DCP paper. I die-cut it with my stitched rectangle. Then I die-cut the egg from the white rectangular panel.

Digital stamp and digital paper

For this card, I went to work with a pre-coloured digital stamp. Super handy when you need to make a card quickly. I printed the image on DCP paper and fussy cut the images so I could place them wherever I wanted.

I used two digital papers from the set I mentioned above. I used the green paper for the first layer on the card. The second paper I wanted to use to cut out an Easter egg. I used dies that are meant for die-cutting balloons. But if you use it the other way around, they are like Easter eggs. I die-cut an egg with the smaller balloon die than for the white panel.

Assembling the card

First, I put my green paper on the card base. On top of that, I put my rectangular panel. I place my smaller egg in the centre of the larger egg. I put the gnome on top of the sentiment and placed my Easter chicks and the bees.

And the card is done. I hope you like it.
