Crafting a Festive Christmas card with Elvis Wesley Moose – Bauble Decorations
Now it’s time to get started with this card. Let’s make a festive Christmas card that everyone will love to receive.
Step 1. Printing and colouring the digital stamp
I printed the charming Elvis Wesley Moose digital stamp on DCP paper. With my trusty alcohol markers, I brought the moose to life, giving his fur rich brown tones. For his cosy sweater, I used a vibrant red hue. To enhance the moose’s enchantment, I highlighted the holly leaves. I also added highlights to his antlers and the festive patterns on his sweater using a white gel pen.
Let me share the colour combinations I used with my alcohol markers to achieve the festive look:
- Head Moose: Clay, Rose Beige, and Sand.
- Antler Moose: Caramel, Hazelwood, and Sand.
- Sweater + parts of the ornaments and berries: Cardinal, English Red and Burgundy.
- Holly leaves + green parts of the ornaments: Grass, Forest Green, and Dark Green.
- Blue parts of the baubles: Baby Boy, Midi Sky, and Dark Sky.
- Silver parts of the baubles: Cool Grey 5, Cool Grey 4, Cool Grey 1, and Colorless Blender.
- Stars: Pastel Lemon, Lemon Yellow, and Golden Yellow.
- Blush and ears: Pastel Pink and Blush.

Step 2. Creating a Starry Background
To give the card a magical touch, I used a 10.5 cm by 15 cm background die, which conjured beautiful winter stars on the background. I like this background because it is elegant and subtle. And so all the attention still goes to the digital stamp, the card’s star.
Step 3. Adding Sparkle and Glamour
What is Christmas without a touch of glitter? To make our festive scene truly magical, I couldn’t resist adding glitter to the two large starbursts. The shimmering glitter on these stars gives the card that extra something. I also applied glitter to the blue bauble with silver dots. The shimmering dots add a playful sparkle.
I used gold pearl glitter for the gold elements on the card. The glitter beautifully complements the warm Christmas colors and gives the card a luxurious look and elegance.
Step 4. Adding A Touch of Mistletoe Magic
Behind the Moose, I used a round flower-shaped die. I die-cut it out of white paper. This I place behind the digital stamp. At the top of this die, I thought it would be nice to add some mistletoe.
On top of the round die-cut flower shape, I attached a dainty red bow with delicate green leaves hanging down. To finish it, I decorated it with two bright red berries. It adds just a little something extra for the holidays. It adds an extra dose of joy and love to the card.
Step 5. Festive Digital Paper and Sentiment
Now let’s talk about the festive elements that brought the card together! I used digital patterned paper from Polkadoodles. It features a classic red and white stripe pattern from the Elvis Moose-themed paper set. This paper adds a lovely Christmas feel to the bottom of the card. It measures 5 centimetres by 10 centimetres. It fits perfectly. I let it overlap a little with the round die cut.
To express the mood of the season, I added a sentiment from the Elvis Wesley Moose sentiments set. The sentiment “It’s the moose wonderful time of the year” captures that wonderful festive feeling of Christmas.
