Prize: voucher for 3 sets

For this card, I used an image from our sponsor Last Minute Manda. It’s from the set “You warm my hart Mice”.

Now let’s get into it.

Measurements and card stock you will need

  • I made a top fold card base. So, you will need a piece of white card stock measuring 10.5 centimetres by 30 centimetres. Score at the long side at 15 centimetres.
  • A piece of red card stock measuring 10 centimeters by 14,5 centimeters.
  • Piece of white card stock measuring 9,5 centimeters by 14 centimeters.
  • A strip of black card stock
  • Green card stock to die-cut from.
  • DCP printing paper to print your image on.

Digital stamp from Last Minute Manda and Colouring

I print my image on 200-gram DCP paper. I coloured the image with my alcohol markers.

  • The mouse: Tawny (106), Hazelwood (108) and Walnut (100).
  • The cup: Wine Red (01), Burgundy (247), English Red (249) and Cardinal (244).
  • Candy Cane: On the white parts I made some shadows with: Cool Grey 4 (CG4), Cool Grey 1 (CG1) and the Colorless Blender (0). For the red parts, I used the same colours as the cup.
  • stewed pears: Red Whine (01), Old Red (02) and Rose Red (03).
  • Scarf: Teal Blue (184), Mint Macaron (181) and Aqua Mint (179).
  • Antlers: Walnut (100), Hazelwood (108) and Tawny (106).
  • The ears: Pastel Pink (17), Peachy Blush (259) and the Colorless blender (0).

Making the background

For the background, I used a background die. I wanted snowflakes and stars on the background matching, the snowflake on the mug. I used my white card stock measuring 9,5 centimeters by 14 centimeters. I put my background die on the paper and put it through my die-cutting machine. Now you have these pretty subtle snowflakes on the background.

Making the sentiment

I wanted to put the mug on a piece of black card stock to give the mug some grounding. For the sentiment, I used heat embossing. I stamped the sentiment “Merry Christmas” with my sticky embossing ink. I put the white embossing powder on top of that and heat set it with my heat gun.

Finishing the card

First I put the card together. I glued my background to my red card stock. Then I put it on my card base. I put my sentiment strip with foam tape on my background. On top of the sentiment strip, I put my image down also, with some foam tape.

But something is missing. So, I decided to die-cut some branches to put behind the cup.

To finish the card off, I put some 3D glitter pearl drops down on the background.

And now the card is finished. I hope you like it.

I hope you will join our challenge. Our design team made some amazing creations. Pop over to the challenge blog to check it out.

Happy crafting! Till next time.
