Together always Engagement card – Polkadoodles

It’s time for a new Polkadoodles craft challenge. As a design team, we have been asked to make a card with the theme Engagement, so I made a engagement card. You can check out all the DT cards on the Challenge blog and enter yours too.

I chose the digital stamp “Together always” to work with. Aren’t these two bunnies cute?

Now let’s get into it.

Measurements for this engagement card

  • I used a card base measuring 13 centimetres by 13 centimetres. You will need a piece of white card stock measuring 13 centimetres by 26 centimetres. Score at the long side at 13 centimetres.
  • A piece of purple card stock measuring 12,5 centimeters by 12,5 centimeters.
  • A piece of white card stock measuring 12 centimeters by 12 centimeters. You will use this piece to make your background on.

Digital stamp and coloring

After printing the digital stamp on DCP paper, I colored the image with my alcohol markers. Unfortunately, I forgot to write down which colors I used.

Background

I used a stencil from my stash. I liked that there is a heart in the background and glows. So I used my chalk inks and made this background. The background fits the sentiment perfectly. Love is in the air literally. The heart rises like the sun.

Assembling the card

First, I stick the purple card stock on the card base. On top of that, I stick the background. I fussy cut the image out and put foam tape behind it. I place the image on the bottom of my background. I place the sentiment at the top of the card and the card is finished.
