I created this card for the new Christmas challenge on the CRAFT Challenge blog.
Our sponsors are:

I used a digital stamp “Stockings” from All Dressed Up Stamps. The digital stamp was released just last month, isn’t he cute. So, check it out.
Now, let’s talk about this card.
Measurements of this stockings card
- You need a piece of white cardstock measuring 15,5 centimetres by 21 centimetres. Score at the 21-centimetre side at 10,5 centimetres. You now have your card base.
- A piece of green cardstock to die-cut from.
- A piece of 200-gram DCP paper to print your digital image on.
Digital stamp and coloring
I printed my image on 200-gram DCP paper. I coloured the digital stamp with my alcohol markers. I used the following colour combinations:
- The dog and the cat: Tawny (106), Hazelwood (108), Walnut (100) and Clay (116).
- Shadow: Blue Grey 1 (BG1) and the Colorless Blender (0)
- Bird: Blue Grey 5 (BG5), Blue Grey 3 (BG3), Blue Grey 1 (BG1) and Colorless Blender (0).
- Leaves: Forest Green (50), Grass Green (47) and Weeds Green (162).
- Berries and other red parts: Wine Red (01), Burgundy (247), English Red (249) and Cardinal (244).

Die-cutting the frame
I wanted a frame on my card to put the stockings on. So, I die-cut this frame out of green card stock. The die itself is not exactly a frame die. But it gives on the inside a stitched border. I cut along this stitched border to get it a frame. I put the frame with some foam tape on the base of the card.
Finishing the card
I glue the socks on the frame and put some foam tape on the socks. I missed some bling, so I decided to glue some golden stars on the leaves and on the base card.
I stamped my sentiment “Merry Christmas” with black ink and finished the card.

Thank you for reading my post. I hope you will join us this week over at the CRAFT Challenge blog. There is also more inspiration on the blog from my other Design team members, so check them out. And don’t forget to check out this cute digital stamp of All Dressed Up Stamps.
Inspire, Create, Share, and More!
As we conclude our tutorial on creating this stockings card, let’s take a moment to appreciate the creative journey we’ve been on together. The process of colouring the digital stamp and designing the card, and it’s now ready to bring a smile to someone’s face.
