Pressie time Sheepski Designs

Matching your digital stamps with die-cuts and paper from paper blocks.

Today a new challenge has started over at the CRAFT Challenge blog. The theme this week is “Christmas Last Stretch”.

Our sponsors this week are:

Morgan’s Artworld

and

Sheepski Designs

For this challenge I got to work with the digital stamp “Pressie Time” from Sheepski designs. I matched my digital stamps with pictures from a paper block and designer’s paper.

Now, let’s get into it.

Measurements and card stock you need

  • I made a top fold base card. So, you need a piece of white card stock measuring 10,5 centimetes by 15 centimeters.
  • A piece of red card stock measuring 10 centimeters by 14,5 centimeters.
  • A piece of white card stock measuring 9,5 centimeters by 14 centimeters.
  • A piece designers paper measuring 9,5 centimeters by 10,5 centimeters
  • A piece of designer’s paper measuring 9,5 centimeters by 3 centimeters
  • A strip of white card stock measuring 9,5 centimeters by 0,5 centimeters
  • I used DCP printing paper to print my image on.

Digital stamp and coloring

I colored my image with my alcohol markers.

  • The bear: Tawny (106), Hazelwood (108), Sand (107), Walnut (100) and Clay (116).
  • The hat: Wine Red (01), Burgundy (249), English Red (247) and Cardinal (244).
  • Nose: Black (120).
  • Yellow parts on the presents: (31) , (32), (35) and (39)
  • Green parts on the presents: Forest Green (50), Grass Green (47), Vivid Green (46) and Apple Green (162)
  • Blue parts on the presents: Dark Sky (190), Midi Sky (191), and (76).
  • Purple parts on the presents: (274), (80) and (146).

I also colored some shadow below the bear and the presents on the brown paper.

  • Shadow: Clay (116), Walnut (100), Sand (107) and Colorless Blender (0).

Matching your digital stamps with die-cuts and papers from paper blocks.

I also like to match digital stamps sometimes with die-cuts and papers from paper blocks. For the background, I used two sections of designer’s paper. Namely for the wallpaper and for the floor. In between, I did a white strip to indicate the transition from floor to wallpaper.

I thought it would be fun to put the bear in front of a Christmas tree. I have several paper blocks lying around from Christmas with die-cuts in them. I found this Christmas tree and thought it went very well with this bear.

Sentiments

For the sentiment “Merry Xmas” I used my label maker. I printed the letters on the black strip and cut them like little flags. I put them on white paper and fussy cut them with a little white border around them. I used my baker’s twine to put them on the card.

The little sentiments “Holiday cheer” are also coming from a Christmas paper block.

And now the Christmas card is finished. I hope you will join our challenge at the CRAFT Challenge blog, and will I see your creations there. And while your there, also check out the amazing creations from the other Design Team Members.

Happy crafting! And till next time.
