It’s time for another CRAFT Challenge!  We would love for you to join us this week in creating something for Grandparents. So, I made a Grandparents card.

Our sponsors this week are:

Logo Sweet 'n Sassy

Prize $10 voucher for the store

and

Logo Trimgy Digistamps

The prize for this challenge is: The winner of 3 Digi stamps
OR 1 Paper pack
OR 2 easel card sheets
OR 2 card kits
OR 1 box card kit

For this challenge, I got to work with a digital stamp from Sweet ‘n Sassy. The digital stamp is called Rhubarb’s Balloons.

So let’s talk about this card.

Measurements of this Grandparents card

  • Basic white card stock measuring 30 centimetres by 10,5 centimetres for the base of the card. The card folds at the top, so score on the long side at 15 centimetres.
  • Red card stock measuring 14,5 centimetres by 10 centimetres
  • Design paper measuring 14 centimetres by 9,5 centimetres
  • Some red and white card stock to die-cut from.

Digital stamp

What do you guys think of this digital stamp? Cute right? I coloured him with my alcohol markers.

  • The bear: Clay (116), Hazelwood (108) and Tawny (106). – Ears: Peachy Blush (257). – Nose: Black (120).
  • Balloons: Burgundy (247), Geranium (15), Vermillion (14) and Scarlet (130
  • Envelope: Blue Grey 1 (BG1) and colourless blender (0)

Die-cutting

Picture of the dies I used.

I used different die cuts for this card. With the letter die I created the sentiment. With this die you get all the letters from the alphabet.

Finishing the card

For the sentiment I used a clear stamp congratulations and heat embossed that on red card stock. I fussy cut that to put it on the card. The white background needed something so I added some embellishments. I still had this cute hearts laying around.

On top of the balloons I put some paper glaze to give it some shiny effect.

And the card is finished. I hope you like the card and I will see you in this week challenge.
