It’s Thursday again, and that means a new challenge on the C.R.A.F.T Challenge blog. The theme of this week’s challenge is “Christmas Humourous”. So I made a Christmas Humour card.
Our sponsors this week are:

and

For this card, I used Chrismas Leonard Pig from D.R.S. Designs. I hope you will join us in this challenge.
Now let’s go to how to make this Christmas humour card.
Measurements of this Christmas Humour card
What do you need for this card:
- Basis card from 15 centimetres x 15 centimetres.
- Next card stock layer from 14,5 centimetres x 14,5 centimetres.
- Design paper measuring 14 centimeters x 14 centimeters.
- Cardstock white paper strip 3,5 centimetres x 14,5 centimetres.
- Cardstock-coloured paper strip 3 centimetres x 14 centimetres.
Digital stamp and colouring
The digital stamp I used is Christmas Leonard Pig. This little piglet can’t wait for Christmas Eve and is already taking a peek among the presents. And then he gets caught and comes up with all these presents.
I coloured the digital stamp with my alcohol markers (twin markers):
- Christmas hat: English Red (249), Burgundy (247), Cherry Pink (05), Blue Grey 1 (BG1) and Colorless Blender (0).
- Little Pig: Salmon Pink (25), Peachy Blus (259) and Fruit Pink (28)
- First present: Dark Yellow (31), Lemon Yellow (35) and Pastel Yellow. Deep Green (52), Forest Green (50) and Grass Green (47). Burgundy (247), Cherry Pink (05) and Cardinal (244).
- Second present: Burgundy (247), Cherry Pink(05) and Cardinal (244). Dark Green (51), Deep Green (52) and Forest Green (50).
- Third present: Midi Sky (190), Blue Sky (76) and Sweet Dreams (272). Burgundy (247), Cherry Pink (05) and Cardinal (244).
- Flat box: Dark Yellow (31), Lemon Yellow (35) and Pastel lemon (39)
- Last present: Burgundy (247), Cherry Pink (05) and Cardinal (244). Grass Green (47), Weeds Green(162) and Yellow Green (48)
The digital stamp is finished.
Stamping with masking technique
I still had stamps lying around with presents. I have another stamp set with different gift stamps. I thought it would be fun to have the piggy come out from behind the presents.

To make this pile of presents, I needed the masking technique.

So I stamped the presents on post-it notes. You stamp the present first which should be in the foreground in its entirety. You stick a post-it over that, so you can overlap the stamp over it. When you have then stamped, it looks like the present is behind the other present.
Now it’s time to colour these presents too.
- Big bow: Deep Yellow (32), Lemon Yellow (35) and Pastel Lemon (39)
- Tulips: Burgundy (247), (15), and (13)
- Band around tulips: Dark Green (51), Forest Green (50) and Grass Green (47)
- Box from tulips: Burgundy (247), Coral Red (12) and (22)
- Green Colors: Dark Geen (51), Forest Green (50) and Grass Green (47) or Grass Green (47), Weeds Green (162) and Yellow Green.
- Red colours: Burgundy (247), (15) and (13) or Cardinal (244) Coral Red (12) and (22)
- Yellow Colors: Deep Yellow (32), Lemon Yellow (35) and Pastel Yellow
- Blue Colors: (191), Midi sky (190) and Sky Blue (76).
Making the slider piece

On the back of the paper where the sliding part should be, I put down the dimensions.

Then you put some foam tape on the back. On the edges of the sliding mechanism you also put foam tape. Leave a small gap so that the mechanism still has some space.
Now you can put this on the base of the card.
Finishing the card
Now you can put the little pig with his presents on the slider piece. You can do that with some foam tape. Then you can put the pile of presents in front of that. Place it so that you don’t see the piglet.

And the card is finished. I hope you liked it, and I could give you some inspiration. Hope to see you all on the blog from CRAFT Challenge to join our challenge and check out the other DT members.
