My finished Clean and Simple card for Christmas.

Clean and Simple card | All Dressed Up Stamps

A new challenge has started over at the Facebook group of All Dressed Up stamps. The theme for this month’s challenge is to create a Clean and Simple card. For me, this is always a tricky topic. I am someone who usually just keeps adding things to a card, so this is a real challenge for me.

For my inspiration card for this challenge, I used the image Christmas Tree Fairy. I love this digital stamp, and it’s perfect for a Clean and Simple card. The girl on top of the tree is so cute that it adds a charming touch to the card.

Now let’s dive into the creative process of this card.

Measurements of this Clean and Simple card

  • I made a top fold card. So, you need a piece of white card stock measuring 10,5 centimeters by 29.c centimetres. Score at the long side at 14.6 centimtres. Fold the card and you have your base card.
  • Golden card stock measuring 14,5 centimeters by 10 centimeters.
  • A piece of DCP paper to print your Digital stamp on and measuring 9.5 centimetres by 14 centimetres.

Colouring the digital stamp

To bring the digital stamp to life, I printed it on DCP paper and coloured it with my Twin Markers (alcohol markers). I used the following colour combinations:

  • Leaves: Deep Green (52), Dark Green (51), Forest Green (50) and Grass Green (47).
  • Skin: Peachy Blush (259), Salmon Pink (25) and Barely Beige (29).
  • Dress, stars and ornaments: Primary Yellow (221), Canaria Yellow (45) Light Cantaloupe (275) and Barn Red (245).
  • Hair: Tawny (106), Sand (107), Rose Beige (97), Clay (116) and Chocolate (118).
  • Wings: Cool Shadow (178).

Now, that the colouring is done, we can go on to the next step finishing the card.

Finishing the card

Once the colouring was done, I die-cut the image with a stitched rectangle. As the theme is clean and simple, I didn’t want to add any other elements. Therefore, I decided to place a layer of golden paper behind the die-cut image to match the golden look of her dress, adding a luxurious design to the card.

And the card is finished.
