Today I am back with a 50th birthday slider card for the Penny’s Paper-Crafty challenge blog. As always, the theme is “Anything goes with paper”.

For this challenge, I got to work with digital stamp “Grumblobonce rides again” from Dr Digi house of stamps.
Let’s get into this.

Making the slider piece
First, I die-cut a rectangle out of white paper with a rectangular die. I want to use a tag as a mechanism, so I die-cut this out of white paper too.
In the rectangle, I cut a slot in the paper. I make the slot 1 centimeter wide. I don’t use fixed dimensions for the slot because this varies what kind of image you use. Make sure you know where the tag features, so you don’t make the slot too long. And then decide where the image should go, and that will be the length of your slot.
On the bag of the rectangle piece, you place foam tape. Make sure the foam tape doesn’t get in the way of your sliding mechanism.
Place foam tape in the slot on your tag. Place your image on top of it. And your sliding mechanism is ready.

Decorating the card
I still had a 50-road sign sticker lying around. This one seemed perfect for this card. On the tag, I placed the sentiment “Gefeliciteerd” what means congratulations in Dutch. I stamped some garlands on the tag too. I place some sequins on the card and stamped a little star.
And the card is finished.
Hope you like it! Happy Crafting.
