Baby Rattle Card

Today a new challenge started at the CRAFT Challenge blog. The theme is “New”. So, I made this Baby rattle card. This time the challenge lasted for two weeks.

I got to work with the 13 shaker card sets. In this set, there are 13 different shaker shapes you can make. Since the theme is new, I decided to go for a baby card. This set includes a template to make a rattle.

So, lets talk about this card.

Measurements for this baby rattle card

I decided to go for a top fold card. You need a piece of white card stock measuring 10,5 centimenters by 30 centimeters. You score at the long side at 15 centimeters.
A piece of pink card stock measuring 10 centimeters by 14,5 centimenters.
I printed a digital paper on DCP paper. The measurements of the digital paper are 9.3 centimeters by 13,7 centimeters.
And of course card stock to make the rattle with.

Making the baby rattle

In the set, you get templates to make the rattle. I cut out the templates and used them to cut out the shape from the paper that I wanted to use.

I used a shaped die to give the rattler a bit of a shaped look. This way it haves a bit more interest.

I used pink and white embellishments as shaker parts.

Digital paper

I found digital paper that I thought fit perfectly to place the rattle on. I downloaded it from Papercrafters magazine’s website. I will link it briefly in the products list I post at the bottom of the article.

The Sentiment New Baby

I had this sentiment “new baby”. Perfect for the theme of the challenge and to place on the rattler.

And my card is finished.
