Autumn slimline card | Polkadoodles

Slowly, the autumn theme is starting to hit me. And I bought a stamp set from Polkadoodle with the autumn theme last year. So it was about time to pick it up and make this Autumn Slimline Card.

This time, I opted for a slimline card. The dimensions of this slimline card are 10.5 centimetres by 21 centimetres.

You need two pieces of white card stock, to die-cut the slimline frames from.

The size depends on the size of your dies. I used two dies. The large slimline die to create the first layer. I stick these right on the base card. The paper die-cut with the smaller slimline die-cut, I make my own background.

I used the above colours for my background. Started with red, orange, yellow and green.

I used these cute stamps from Polkadoodle. For this card, I used the acorn, squirrel, the mushrooms and the sentiment. I stamped them with my black memento ink.

It’s time again to colour these stamps. I used my twin markers again.

• Squirrel: Barn Red (245), Rose Beige (97), Sand (107) and Hazelwood (108)
• The acorns: Warm Caramel (256), Caramel (253) and Hazelwood (108). The top of the acorns: Chocolate (118), Clay (116) and Walnut (100).
• Leaves: Forest Green (50) and Grass Green (47).

On a piece of white paper, I stamped the text “nuts about you. With a black fine liner, I wrote the “r” after you, so it would read nuts about you.

I wanted to create “nuts about your birthday”, so I took the word “Birthday” from another stamp. I used the word birthday from the top stamp. I taped the text “Wishing you a very happy” with a post-it so that only the word Birthday got ink. I removed the post-it and then stamped it on a strip of white paper.

All I had to do then was die-cut some branches. Now I can do all the parts on the card, and the card is finished.
