Challenge #656 at CRAFT Challenge blog

Another new challenge has started on the CRAFT Challenge blog. This time the challenge is 2 weeks. So lots of time to make a project for this challenge. The theme is Halloween/Autumn/ Thanksgiving. I made a Autumn card.

For this challenge, I got to work with a digital stamp from Sheepski Designs. The stamp is called “Giant Mushroom”. I am not a great fan of gnomes, but these images are just so cute. I loved colouring this one. So, I think for these images I am starting to like them.

Now, let’s talk about this card.

• For the base of this card, you need a piece of white card stock measuring 13 centimetres by 26 centimetres. Score at 13 centimeters.
• A piece of black card stock measuring 12,5 centimeters by 12,5 centimeters.
• A piece of white card stock measuring 12 centimetres by 12 centimetres. On this piece, we make our background.
• Some white card stock to stamp on.

First, I placed some blue in the middle of the panel.

For the background, I used the stamps above. First I stamped the big Dandelion. I made a mask for the Dandelion and the grasses. This way, you can stamp on top of each other.

I used these little mushrooms to place in this scene.

I printed this digital stamp on DCP paper and coloured it with my alcohol markers.

• The dots on the mushroom: black (120), Cool Grey 8 (CG8), Cool Grey 4 (CG4), Cool Grey 1 (CG1) and the Colorless Blender (0).
• The top of the mushroom: Burgundy (247), English Red (249), Geranium (15), Vermillion (14) and Scarlet (13)
• The stem of the mushroom: Sand (107), Caramel (253), Hazelwood (108) and Tawny (106)
• Skin: Peachy blush (259), Salmon Pink (25) and Barely Beige (29).
• Beard: Cool Grey 5 (CG5), Cool Grey 4 (CG4), Cool Grey 1 (CG1) and Colorless Blender (0).
• Mint green had and skirt: Teal Blue (184), Aqua mint (179), Bright mint (170) and Mint Macaron (180).
• Red had and dress: Burgundy (247), Cherry pink (05), Warm Fuchsia (206) and Coral Pink (16).

Colouring the other stamps:

• Gas sprites: Apple Green (160), Bright Apple Green (161), Green Bice (163).
• Grass: Pine Forest (241), Dark Olive (225) and Sap Green (235).
• Ears: Soft Olive Green (40) and Hazelwood (108).
• Combinations for the leaves:
  • Lemon Yellow (35), Terra Stone (278) and Coral Red.
  • English Red (249), Coral Red (12) and Deep Yellow.
  • Chocolate (118), Clay (116) and Hazelwood (108).
  • Green Sage (227), Dark Olive (225) and Sap Green (235).

Now its time to place everything on the card. I have put the gnomes with some foam tape on the card, to get some dimension. I place the leaves behind it and one in front of it.

To finish it of I places the sentiment, and the card is finished.
